Bangor guarantees a room in university accommodation to all new full-time undergraduate students, including those entering through Clearing, as well as postgraduate students. This commitment ensures a secure start to university life. Students living in halls benefit from automatic gym membership, granting access to the main gym at Canolfan Brailsford in Ffriddoedd Village and the fitness room at St Mary’s Village, regardless of where they reside.

Ffriddoedd Village, located in Upper Bangor, is the larger of the two, offering approximately 1,960 rooms. It is about a 10-minute walk from the Main University Building and the train station, and 10–15 minutes from the city centre. The village includes launderettes, common rooms, Bar Uno café bar, and the main sports centre, Canolfan Brailsford. Some rooms offer impressive views of the mountains of Eryri (Snowdonia), adding a distinctive natural backdrop to student life.

St Mary’s Village, positioned on elevated ground near the city centre, accommodates around 650 students. It is roughly five minutes from the city centre and 10–15 minutes from both the train station and the Main University Building. The design of this village encourages social interaction and community building. Accommodation options include en-suite rooms, budget rooms, studio apartments, and townhouses. Facilities include a café/shop, launderette, and shared common areas.
